Dr. Suma Ganesh
Dr Suma Ganesh is presently Associate Medical Director, Head of Paediatric ophthalmology and Strabismus and Head of Medical Education Department at Dr Shroff’s Charity Eye hospital, Delhi.
She has done her MS ophthalmology from Lokmanya Tilak Medical college Mumbai in 1994, DNB from National board of examinations , Delhi in 1994. She did her fellowship in Paediatric ophthalmology and Strabismus at Manhattan Eye and Ear hospital in 2001 through Marsh Carter Fellowship grant by ORBIS International. She was awarded DR S.D. Athavale award for the best paper in squint at AIOS meeting in 2003. She has worked in many childhood blindness projects “Hand in Hand Saving Sight Project”, “Refractive error project ”with Mc donalds and ORBIS, Dhristhi Project with Seva foundation and with MIT, USA on Project Prakash . She is also involved in POLTC project with ORBIS training fellows from Nepal , Bangladesh and Vietnam and with CBM in training fellows in paediatric ophthalmology for India and Nepal. She is also a member of American Academy of paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus, WCPOS and International Strabismological association
In 2012 she received the prestigious ACOIN award for her work in strabismus in the community. She has presented in many national and international conferences and has many publications to her credit.
Dr. Umang Mathur
Associate Director and head of the Department of Ophthalmology at Dr. Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital, Delhi, Dr. Umang is a Cornea and Phaco cataract surgeon. He has received several decorations in recognition of his surgical talents, and completed a fellowship in Cornea and Anterior Segment surgery at the prestigious L.V. Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad in 1998. His training abroad includes time at the Royal Hull Infirmary, UK, and at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, USA.
